Moving day was actually last Saturday, April 9th. Exactly one year, one month, and one day after we broke ground for our house. We had an exhausting day of cleaning, moving and furious unpacking. At the end of the day I was so tired and confused about where everything was in the house. I still get confused and I'm still rearranging everything in the kitchen. We have all the necessities in our house and only extra toys, Christmas decorations, craft supplies and some of Scott's things are left in the old house.
Scarlett and Victor really enjoy their rooms, I think they are doing OK with the separation. We slept in the house Saturday night and Sunday night, then I had to go away to a conference. Now it seems like the babies are extra clingy want to be held all the time.
Scarlett's room
Keller's big boy bed. He loves sleeping on his truck pillows. I tried to get him to sleep on the pillowcases, but he doesn't understand why you'd have a pillow just for decoration.
Keller helped me put the painting on the wall, and he loves the Thomas stickers on the wall.
Victor's bed. The twins definitely need some more decor on the wall, but they've got a good start.
Scott and I really enjoy all the extra room we have in our bedroom. Everything is bigger and we've got our own bathroom. Its nice to take a shower without bath toys falling into the tub. We love all the space, but we've realized the downsides. Everything is so far away! For example, I normally dressed the kids in their bedroom where their clothes were next to the dirty clothes basket. Easy peasy, wrestle three kids into clean clothes from the closet, chuck dirty clothes in basket, done. Now, there are three different closets, do I drag each kid to each different room, do I run from room to room then corral all three kids into one area to change clothes. My organization skills are being challenged. There are still a few things to be finished on the house, Scott's uncle always says when you finish building a house the work is only half done, meaning there is always something to do or some improvement to make.
