If you look back and read this post, you'll remember that on Monday, March 8th we broke ground for our house. Before that day, this is what our 'house' looked like. Just a field with a storage building.
A year later, that field looks like this,
A pretty green house with a finished deck (unfinished porch railing) and a muddy yard. But inside is a warm beautiful home with a finished first floor (except an unhooked up dishwasher) a family room full of toys (already!) 1.5 finished bathrooms, and a complete master bedroom and closet. All thats missing is: carpet in three kids bedrooms and shelves in three kids closets, a completely tiled master bathroom, a beautifully complex stairway and balcony with hickory stair treads and old fashioned newel posts.
A year ago, we had two little babies that would curl up next to each other and bat hands together.
Now, we have to ornery toddlers that smack and bite.
One walks, and one screams if the other gets near her.
This little boy (who will be 3 in 4 months) is growing too fast and getting to be too smart. And he can't step away from 'How to Train Your Dragon' for more than a second for a picture.
I don't even want to think about what things will be like next year, but I only hope I'm as happy and loved and fulfilled as I am now. Bearing any mishaps, we're scheduled to finish the stairs this weekend and we will be moving in next weekend.
